"Beaver" Cleaver
Beaver Cleaver
The "Beaver" Cleaver, so called because of its flexible, flat, beaver-like, v-groove fiber rest, is suitable for use
with quick-term connectors and optimal for mechanical splicing. It provides a guide for variable cleave
lengths from 5-20mm. The ceramic blades will perform over 6,000 cleaves before replacement is
necessary. The score and snap function is easy to use and preferred by many installers.  One needs to be
taught how to use this tool properly.

Carbide Fiber Optic Scribe
We teach and use the basic Carbide Fiber Optic Scribe in our
classes.  It's easy to use, inexpensive, and when cared for, will
provide the trained technician with several thousand, high quality
hand scribes.  But, if you have not been properly trained on it's use,
then you need to be given some direction. The blade is a 30 degree
blade which means the tool MUST approach and score the fiber at a
90 degree angle.  One needs to be taught how to use this tool
properly.

Sumitomo FC-7 Fiber Optic Cleaver
Sumitomo Fiber Optic Cleaver
The FC-7 is the most versatile tool available for optical fiber cleaving. The FC-7 is ideal for use in fusion splicing, field
termination, or any other precision application. It has a simple cleaving operation that can be performed in the palm of the
hand, which allows the user to take the cleaver to fiber in limited slack applications. The FC-7 can perform cleaves on single
fibers (0.25 to 0.90) and up to 4 count ribbons.  A built-in fiber scrap collector handles scrap fibers resulting from the cleaving
process. Following a completed cleave, the lid is raised allowing the collector to automatically grab and safely store the fibers.

Sumitomo FC-6MC Fiber Optic Cleaver
Sumitomo FC-6MC Fiber Optic Cleaver
With the introduction of the FC-6, Sumitomo now has the ultimate tool for single or ribbon fiber cleaving.  Built on a robust
high-quality platform, the FC-6 is ideal for use with fusion splicing or other precision applications, setting a new standard
for flexibility and performance.  Every FC-6 includes a single fiber adapter for 250 to 900 micron coated single fibers. It is a
simple operation for the user to remove or install the single fiber adapter and alternate between mass and single fiber
cleaving.  The  scrap collector can help maintain loose scraps resulting from cleaving. The scrap collector works to
automatically grab and store the scrap fibers automatically as the cleaver functions.
